The Historic Third Ward Plein Air Painting Competition returns Saturday, July 14 through Friday, July 20 at noon.

Embodying an art form created by French impressionists, plein air painters from around Wisconsin will leave their studios and paint “in the open air” capturing the life and vitality of Milwaukee’s most distinctive neighborhood.

You’re invited to watch the artists as they create. Step outside and you’ll find them in various picturesque locations throughout the Historic Third Ward.

New this year - you can be part of the fun with one of these breakout events!
